Defensive Shooting is different from marksmanship. While we teach the fundamentals of marksmanship in our classes, we focus on defensive shooting. The best way to not be a victim is to avoid a deadly encounter altogether. Because of this, before we teach the legal use of deadly force, we teach conflict-avoidance and situational awareness. If you do ever find yourself in the unfortunate situation where you had no other choice but to use deadly force, your body enters, what's commonly referred to as "Fight or Flight" mode. During this time, there is a dump of adrenaline and endorphins in the body; you perceive sight, sound, memory, and even touch differently. We discuss how to manage this and act effectively during this time. And of course we don't leave out what to do after a violent encounter.
Our classes can be taught in a typical classroom environment and some can be held in the comfort of your own home. Successful completion of some classes will allow you to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit (CCW).
